Hiking Divôr River
From history and culture to environment and gastronomy

Highlights: starts at an old abandoned train station, following an ecological path on the old railway. In this tour we are surrounded by beautiful landscapes to enjoy with cork oak and holm oak, as well as water mills along the Divôr river. At some stops we interpret the landscape using the history and ethnography of the region, which will help us to understand the environment. In the middle of the route there is a bridge of the XVI century, we continue on the trail along the river with some old infrastructures and a cork oak landscape. Almost at the end we visit a Roman bridge and the tours ends at the Roman Temple in Santana do Campo, where we will have a typical meal in a local restaurant.

Special: Mediterranean gastronomy in a local restaurant. Non-touristic places.

Main attractions: Mounts of cork oaks and holm oaks and large natural rocks. Interpretation of the landscape. Abandoned train station. 16th century bridge. Roman bridge. Roman Temple. Typical food and local wine.
